Photographer's Note

The Hofgarten (Court Garden) is a garden in the center of Munich, Germany, located between the Residenz and the Englischer Garden. The garden was built in 16131617 by Maximilian I, Elector of Bavaria as an Italian style Renaissance garden.

The above paragraph is from Wikipedia. I had flown over night from the U.S., landing in Munich at about 7:30 a.m. to begin a 7+ hour layover before flying to Budapest. With that much time to spend I took the train from the airport into the center of the city and then began to walk around, navigating only by following my nose. Eventually I arrived at this park but until doing some research on it tonight I had absolutely no idea what park it was or the history behind it.
