Photographer’s Note
This is the entertaining leader of Konnexion Balkon, who performed on the streets of Munich during my visit in early July. The group is comprised of classically trained musicians who put a slightly new spin on some old favorites. The lineup I saw included violin, cello, concert bass, percussion (cajon, chimes, etc.) and piano/accordian. This group was amazing; in the two nights I was in the city, I watched their entire set four or five times.
This image showcases this group's casual approach to classical music, as well as the joy they found in the street performance.
