Photographer’s Note

On our visit to Munich, I found it interesting that all of the subway and train stations still had so many bicycles even though it was snowing. We had visited Dachau earlier in the day and there were many bikes sitting at the station when we arrived, all covered in snow. Being from the states, you don't see this. Folks wouldn't even think about taking a bike out in the snow.

I think it's great!

In Russia a bike in winter looks strange, too.
If the bikes looked a bit older
I'd say it were a sad picture,
bikes waiting for their owners in vain…
But the orange of the bike in front is so fresh and shiny
that it raises my spirits :))
It's summer and the snow is just a whim of nature.
