Late summer's day on a boat trip on Koenigssee in the Bavarian Alps... nice to remember on a cold February Sunday morning. :)

Reizende Alpen, lebe ich unter zweihundert Kilometern entfernt von den Alpen. Ich liebe sie. Ich kenne diese Spitze der Kirche im Bayern. Reizendes, großes Foto!

I am curious about one thing though Nina.I am wondering if this is a lake with dependable water-level controls? I notice the water level is very close to the church foundation and normally springtime melting of snow from these mountains would cause water levels to rise considerably.

A picture-perfect shot from the Königssee, Nina. Well composed with the lake and the church at the bottom, and the towering, fog-covered mountains above. Great color contrast between the lower and upper half of your shot. If you took the boat trip I assume you also made a stop at the rock against which you can call or yodel something for an echo ;-) Very nice work.

Very beautiful scene here, well composed. The church is very pretty. Like the vertical framing here , well adapted.

Echoing all the above. Seeing something like that always reminds me of how much I love lakes in the Alpes!
Great wide angle and composition - you found a great spot from which to catch it all in one frame.

Etonnant ce contraste du ciel dramatique avec la rive du lac ensoleillée. Il semble que l'orage était proche.

Astonishing this contrast by the dramatic sky with sunny bank of the lake. It seems that the storm was close.

Agree, with your note, nice to remember, been here also its a photographers delight, I do like the way you have captured the graduation of light and colour, I would only be tempted to crop to the sky line away to increase the feeling of this graduated light..enjoyed this....ah memories.

Voila aussi une belle présentation verticale pour mettre en valeur aussi les hautes Montagnes.
Le ciel menaçant donne vraiment le climat chargé sur les hauts de montagne et bien ensoleillé en bas de l'image.
Les couleurs du premier sont superbes et elles finissent très bien votre cliché Bravo Nina

Herrliche Stimmung! Schoenes Licht und gute Farben. Ich war leider noch nie am Kenigssee. Durch deine Bilder koennte man richtig Lust drauf bekommen...

A typical postcard view, but here with rain clouds. I like the way how the church is illuminated by the sunlight and how the east wall of Mt. Watzmann is hidden in clouds. Great picture!
I took a picture from St. Bartholomae and Koenigsse from the top of Mt. Watzmann (see here).

I think Mankind has really made this Planet a lot more beautiful than it would have otherwise been.
The Contrast of lighting [Mountains and the Church] has provided us with an execellent Result.
This Photograph is one of my Favorites.
