Photographer’s Note
The castle of Hohenschwangau is located on a small mount. It was erected in the 12th century, was mostly destroyed during the Napoleonian wars. It was restored by the father of Ludwig II, the king who build the famous castle of HohenSchwanStein. Ludwig II lived most of his life in this castle. From the window of this bedroom, he had a telescope pointing on the construction site of his fairy tale castle hohenschwanstein.
This castle is an exemple of the romantic period of Germany. For example some wall paintings tell about the heroic knight Lohengrin (later set in a opera by Wagner). It is full of presents received by the royal family.
The entry costs 15 €. Going there is a good way to spend 30€ par capita just to visit the castles (rather expensive but it would be a pity not to visit). I think that the people in Bavaria are paying very little taxes.

Un chateau majestueux, mise en valeur par la vue en contre-plongée.
Les couleurs sont belles, la patrimoine semble être mieux entrenu en Allemagne qu'en France.
Très belle image Lau.
