Photographer's Note

The Alpsee is a lake in the Ostallgäu district of Bavaria, Germany, located about 4 kilometres southeast of Füssen. It is close to the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles.

The lake has just under five kilometres of shoreline and a depth of up to 62 metres. It is a popular tourist attraction, given its proximity to the castles and the wild swans that inhabit the lake. Boats are available for rent and there is a wide variety of hiking trails in the vicinity. A circular path leads around the shore, and the "Fürstenstrasse" (Princes' Road) leads from Hohenschwangau over the Schwarzenberg ridge and down to Pinswang in the Lechtal.

nice view of this Alpine lake. beautiful clear water, nice mountains around,. good place for relaxing on boats. very pleasant composition.

I like this photo even though the sky seems cloudy but it give coolness and calmness to this photo. When I look at this calm photo, I wish my heart will also calm like this.

a very pleasing summer scene with swans, geese and ducks completing the scenery. Amazing backdrop with those mountains with an interesting sky above them.
This seems to be a very pleasing place for a summer stroll to cool down.

Amazing clarity of the fg water with good sharpness and excellent repetition of the swans & ducks. A slight tilt to the left easily fixed in photoshop. The 2 craggy bg peaks in the centre make a good distant focal point. Tfs!

Beuatiful landscape photo with deep tone on the distant landscape and mountains. The presence of the ducks and swans really adds charming quality to the composition. Very cheerful and summer like iamge.

lovely view. I like the multiple layers of the composition. Especially nice various colors of the water depending on the depth and what we see at the bottom. The birds make a pleasant foreground.
