The Black Forest can be hiked through along thousands of kilometers of hiking trails. Hiking in the Black Forest is very popular has a long tradition.
The Schwarzwaldverein (Black Forest Society) has maintained a network of hiking trails for more than 140 years, in order to make the beauties of nature accessible to locals and national and international tourists.
And you don't have to start off with a complete long-distance hiking trail with a length of more than 200 km - there are countless local circular hiking trails with a great variety of lengths and levels of difficulty.
I have captured this photo on the Westweg (West Trail) which is running north-south through the Black Forest from Pforzheim to Swiss city of Basel. This trail is around 285 km long, and was founded in 1900.
The West Trail is a part of the European Long-Distance Trail E1 from Norway North Cape to Italian Sicily, more than 5,000 km long!!!

Another splendid composition from the beautiful Black Forest. I like the point of view with the track offering an open invitation to step in and enjoy the scenery. Also, the excellent colour contrasts.

Spectacular natural beauty of this composition, I love the variety of color tones on the slopes beside the road, which gives a great perspective to the composition, wonderful that big tree that focuses our attention against the sky, a great place .
An image to enjoy, with its beautiful colorful, high brightness and perfect sharpness.
Very well done. I love it.
Have a nice day.

excellent light brings out the colors and contrasts in this attractive scene. The large tree makes a great subject and this one is extra special. The composition is excellent. My compliments also for the nice notes!

A fascinating scene, the path is very inviting as is the lush colors on the left, but the right looks like a haunted forest, with this big bare tree there to welcome wary travelers. Is the color effect here from fire, or being burnt, or did you perform partial desaturation? It looks excellent, truly like a scene from a fairytale. I know that can be said (and I have said) for a lot of shots of this place, but this color effect is surreal and very nice.
thanks as always

An interesting path going between the jungle and the hills. I like the colours of the grass and the barren tree.

Très bonne photo remarquablement composée avec un contraste saisissant entre la partie gauche verdoyante et la droite qui semble avoir brûlé.

I love your Black Forest series. From what I can see you not only enjoyed very good weather but also have trekked through lovely places. Paradise for photographers and you definitely used the opportunity. I like this one for different approach. The colorful photography combined with monochrome brought original result. Good composition too, which bases on the simplicity and very good POV.
Thanks for sharing and all the best

A great adventure into the forest and what a spectacle full of nature beauty wealth of greenery under the open sky and the wide view makes for a very eye pleasing picture. The wonderful bare tree stands tall proudly as if inviting us deep into the scene and there's some array of vivid bright colour adding lots of value to this shot. The exposure is flawless, Indeed a delightful shot to be proud off, Congrats

A good composition with the road and this tree, intersting effect with the contrast of tones, original presentation.

interesting compo using the select are in black and white, for a fast view we can't perceive the difference, but only after we can see the forest without its green. I liked the compo, beautiful idea.

I've ever seen partial desaturation shots but never that way ! I like the originality of your post-processing. First, I thought the right part was dead vegetation !

Nicely halved the image for it's colors side and B&W side, Miro.
The naked old tree stood as necessary to aply this tecgnique.
Fine combined the scene.

Ciao dear Miro
A beautiful scene and an enchanting (or enchanted) tree. I love the rich Autumnal colours but don't understand why the right half of the image has been desaturated.
A lovely image anyway
