Well composed using the rule of thirds with realistic saturation and excellent sharpness. I like the downward pov from a high vantage point. The diagonal horizon formed by the sloping hills adds good dynamism. The layer of greenery between the 2 clusters of houses is nice. Tfs!

another very neat townscape in a fresh and delightful natural setting. There are some lovely and interesting layers in your composition that give us an effective description of the scenery with great sense of depth and excellent clarity. I like the vibrancy created within the frame by the repetitive architectural patterns. The light has enhanced the brightness of the lighter colours and the contrast with the dark ones is very agreeable to behold. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,

alone the name Schönwald reveals the place must be really picturesque. And your photo only confirms it!
Lovely little town excellently composed and presented to us with great attention for details. For me the most amazing thing is the color scheme with so bright and well contrasting colors(even despite cloudy sky, which do not spoilt your shot).
Wish You a nice weekend

Awesome capture of this mountainside village, typical of German architectures. Good pov and dof with sharp details. Very well done, tfs.
I hope you had a peaceful Yom Kippur.

Le pignon jaune de la maison en bas à droite attire mon regard,il crée un parfait équilibre des couleurs dans cette image.

I don't know if its just me or not, but i have this fascination with how villages or subdivisions look in other countries.
it always interests me to see how they look.
and here we have a town from Germany.
the homes seem to be rather large with sharply angled rooftops. and there's plenty of green space for families with young kids or dogs :)
I like it!

A Pretty Forest in the Black Forest, indeed! I like the alternating bands of green and other colors. I also like the skyline of the mountains descending from left to right.
jcpix (6654) 2013-09-14 16:20
When the words "Black Forest" are mentioned, I immediately think of the densely tree covered hillsides mixed in with the open fields of green. I like that you've shown us a slightly different side of that association, a populated and residential area. Still visible thought are the marked characteristics of the region off in the distance, but this is a nice little change of pace. :) I really like the subtle play of sunlight across the scene, and the detail, color, and sharpness appear very well in tact. A clean image all the way around, and a nice presentation of the "other" side of the forest. Hope you're having a nice weekend. Take good care.

lovely town indeed and great POV to capture it. Great exposition under difficult light conditions. Very interesting note as well which taught me something about the world today,
pierrefonds (51072) 2013-09-15 5:57
The wideness of the village is giving depth to the scene. The point of view is allowing me to see the details and colours of the houses. The cloudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colours. Have a nice day.

It's often a good idea to take photos of people's homes when visiting other countries. It may not be something you always note during the visit, but after having returned home you notice how much it differs from homes in your own country and how typical they are for the area you visited. You have captured homes in Schönwald really well. Your excellent composition and perspective convey a feeling that it very nice to live here. TFS and have a fine week!
kato (9582) 2013-09-15 18:39
You're capturing well this place by a good and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the peaceful village with many lovely private houses in the Black-Forest. It's tasteful for triangle roof. The green hill with ups and down catch eyes as a comfortable feeling.
danos (78196) 2013-09-15 23:32
Good morning Ike,
excellent the view of this picturesque village with the traditional houses to are surrounded between the dense grass as the trees too.
I like the beautiful presentation with the light management to enhance the vivid colours of the scene.

Schönwald nice place in German central Black Forest. I like your composition with the with two separate groups of houses, the larger houses in front and the smaller township houses in BG. Excellent light and clarity. Well done IMO.
shevchenko (18725) 2013-09-16 21:24
Good pov and good frame to show a beautiful residential quarter on the slope, pretty local houses, nice greenry environment, distinct photo in a cloudy day, good shoot.
Kugart (1776) 2013-09-17 1:29
Lovely scene here of the little village built on the side of the hill. Good composition with the hill sloping down through the shot and the wonderful colours and lighting on the houses in the foreground .
nikkitta (9053) 2013-09-17 17:02
I don't know so much about composition, but like the way you managed the capture, at the front some houses with original roofs, at the distance or the back the village
Do you know why mainly the roofs are grey and not with tiles?
Buenas noches (para mi)
adramad (31003) 2013-09-19 9:36
These small German towns are lovely with nice houses painted in various colors and almost always in a natural environment, where the green and the trees never fail.
Sensational POV that shows this with all its charm and beauty.
Fantastic lighting and colorful.
The good sharpness also allows us to recreate the image.
Have a good evening.
All the best.

Ciao e buon fine settimana

Amazingly deprived of electricity poles and wires, this country scenery appears quite inviting for a rest cure amid the Black Forest nature.
The near dwellings create an appropriate visual balance to those clinging on hillside for the impression of wider space to live in.
Cricri (92323) 2013-10-09 22:38
Bel endroit du village dans un environnement plaisant et plus vert, des liens qui accompagne cette belle présentation
maloutim (9483) 2013-10-14 23:51
The weather was threatening that day on the Black Forest, and you managed to capture the sky in its sulky mood.
Yet your picture looks quite bright with the colorful houses in their green setting.
Thanks for sharing.
