Final
defintelly not a great match, but they did it again.
3:2 vs Turkye in the semifinal
This shot was taken two years ago after the quarterfinal Germany vs Argentina.
Celebrating at the Mannheim Friedrichspark and the watertower.
To be honest,Turkye was the better team, but
A famous british trainer said many, many years ago: a footballmatch lasts 90 minutes and at the end ,Germany is the winner......

Hi Andreas,
Well I see you had your photo ready to post (did you have one for Turkey too?) :o)
A good shot, despite the low light with the stairs in the foreground leading our eye towards the crowd in the background. The colored frame is a bit distracting, but given the circumstances, I guess we'll excuse you...
Congratulations toi Germany for making it to the finals!
Cheers.

Hi Leo,
yes, congratulations; the old saying is proven again:
The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes and in the end the Germans win.

Hallo Andreas,

Andreas,
This is a nice celebratory shot! Both teams played a very good game, congrats to the German squad. Your composition is great placing the guy with the flag to one side with the fountain and buildings forming a backdrop. The lighting and colors are great with great sharpness and detail.

hi Andreas
LOL very interesting to see the Euro2008 fever spreading over into TE, even your frame color!
No, I wont comment on the teams until the final winner is announced. Very nice capture of the spirit of excitement in this public square. Good luck to the losers!

Hi, Leo. Congratulations on this win, but I think the Turkish team played a good game too. Good composition with the man on the right holding the German flag and opening the view onto the buildings in the background. His position alos creates a good symmetry between the two parts of the buildings we can see.
Have a good night night and good luck with the final,
Philippe

Hi Leo - I wouldn't say the Germans were simply lucky, for 2 out of their 3 goals were quite a masterpiece... in this one I esp. like the translucent flag - and your most appropriate choice of triple border. Regards, Daniel

I can see you were just waiting for the end of the match to post this good picture. Were you also ready with a turkey picture in case Germany could not do it? I do not think so, anyway!!! Now you have to beat the SPAIN (my guess) and it will be much more difficult.
Congartulations for the photo and the victory.
Antonio

Hi Leo,
A very apt post for the occasion, I guess congratulations are in order! I watched that game, Germany did well in the end to edge past Turkey. Fantastic frame for this shot too, like the colors of the German flag lining the shot.
Well done!

Hallo Andreas,
mal schauen, was jetzt rauskommt am Sonntag.

Hej Leo I'm very happy for your sake ... but not for the football, as I consider Turkey played a better match and was worth winning.
though if you have 5 shoots on goal and three of them goes in your a winning team.
and the when my new favorites sense Sweden left Russia lost against a better Spain we looking forward for the final.
may best man win!
anything can happend .

Hallo Andreas,
Mark
