5 bridges and ...... Photo

Photographer’s Note

5 bridges and......a nice foreground.
It`s a cropped version,because I wanted to get the rower in the foreground.In my workshop you can see the original size.I was rowing here too for many years.
It was not easy to catch him with the reflection as backgound because the reflection and the rower were moving fast.And so did I,every few second with camera and tripod.
Here I`m standing on the "Friedrich-Ebert bridge"
The next one to see is a pedestrian bridge with the balustrade and the diagonal cables.From the "Kurpfalz bridge" you can see only the construction under the road.There is a white and red triangle,a traffic sign for ships.This bridge was the POV for my previous 2 posts.In the background ,the bow belongs to the "Jungbuschbridge".And the pylon is from a railway bridge for the intercity express going north.
And for those of you who are not interested in Mannheim`s bridges,there is a nice foreground.........

Hallo Andreas,
Fantastic image. This sunset with the warm tones orange and a very suggestive light is very beautiful. The reflections of the sun and the bridge in the water I like much, and the detail of the rower is very well including.
Good exposure and much quality in your photo.
Nevertheless, I think that likes plus framing of your WS, since it extends to much the reflection of the sun in the water, and it makes more elegant.

A beautiful sunset shot with the silhouetted bridges. The addition of the rower adds a wonderful human element to the scene as well as providing scale. I have looked at the original in the WS and agree you were right to crop; Maybe I would have cropped slightly less than you did to give the rower a little bit mor room, but a fine image nevertheless.

This shot has a lot of detail. The bridge is excellently captured, the sun is amazing in texture and colour and the boat in the foreground is a nice compositional element. This picture has an industrial feel to me, which is best depicted in low light, in my opinion. Well done and well achieved.

Superb sunset shot Leo, but what steals the show is the rower riding along the red reflection beam. Your decision to crop is right, but maybe you could have kept a little more of the reflections in the bottom half. A great one nonetheless!
