Photographer’s Note

Since many years ,when I cross the river Neckar end of july I think:Wow this must give a nice photo.
Finally I did it.
This is the view from the "Kurpfalz-bridge".
About three kilometers further the Neckar is reaching the river Rhein.
The boat at the left side is a museum and restaurant.

Hi Leo,
Tropical weather conditions obviously also give tropical sunsets! This is awesome...
Excellent exposure also giving details in the surroundings, not too much just so we can see a bit more than silhouettes...
Well composed, good lines adding dynamics!

was für ein schöner Sonnenuntergang! Die Farben sind unglaublich und die Strahlen, die noch erkennbar sind, wirken einfach zauberhaft. Der Flusslauf gibt eine wundervolle Tiefe ins Bild. (Du solltest aber Mannheim überm Titel nicht klein schreiben ;-)

Lately you are publishing amazing and very pretty works. This photo of sunset in the river, with the sky burning by the sun, mixing itself with the water by means of precious reflections, they form a fantastic composition. The curve that makes the river, with the silhouette of its two borders in backlighting, and the detail of the boat, they still more increase the beauty of your photo.

Hi,

Even thouhg I prefer sunsets where the sun is hided I really like this one . Especially the way the river leads my sight. The colors however could be more intense I believe. Maybe that's vbecause I love strong contrast. Well, anyway, it's really good and eye-catching shot.

This shot is excellent Andreas; your many years of "location research" have paid off.
Its very well composed and I like how the final rays of the setting sun are poking through the bridge in the distance.
The industrial landscape with its cranes and chimneys is interesting to look at and the birds on the water are a nice touch.

What an awesome shot Leo…spectacular sunset with wonderful silhouetted buildings & the bridge. I love the lines formed in the water by the moving steamer, which gives this image an added dynamism. Wonderful!

wow, also, für sonnenuntergänge habe ich echt eine schwäche.*g*
was für ein einmaliger blick auf den neckar in den tollen
sonnenuntergang hinein, leo! :-)

Schwer, aus Deiner eindrucksvollen kürzlichen Serie ein Foto rauszusuchen, Leo. Mit hat auf Anhieb dieses hier ganz gut gefallen, da ich auch in der Nähe des Neckars wohne, und weil mir der Bildaufbau mit der Perspektive über den Fluss hinweg gut gefällt. Das Museums- und Restaurantboot im Vordergrund ist gut in die Szene integriert, und natürlich gibt die tiefe Sonne mit den orangen Tönen eine besonders stimmungsvolle Note.

Hi Andreas,

this is quite inspiring in terms of exploring Neckar a couple of kilometers up the stream...well, if only it stopped raining for a day or two...it does look like Stuttgart-Wangen to be honest...just round the corner from Esslingen...it only misses the B10;-)...for the amount of industry occupying the river bank this image still hits with simple beauty of a summer sunset...and the exposure & timing both seem perfect...cheers, arturo

Parmis les nombreux coucher de soleil que compte ta galerie celui m'interpelle par la beauté de ces couleurs,la magnifique perpective formée par ce fleuve,et le fait que le soleil soit 'emprisonné' dans l'arche du pont font que cette composition est vraiment réussie.
