Good Morning Everyone,
A curious title you may think.
It is a quote from 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' when Alice finds that nothing is quite as she expected.
That's how I felt in Mannheim.
I just wasn't expecting to see such modern design down a street which was adjacent to a traditional park with flowers and fountains.
The metal sculpture, the decorations of metal lines, the tunnel sloping into the building, the coloured glass all made me stop and stare.
Yes, it was curiouser and curiouser!
Have a lovely day, Bev :-)

Bonjour, chère Bev,
La création architecturale et du design n'ont plus de limites !
L'image est bien faite et parfaitement dressée.

I am not a fan of modern architecture but I find this building rather attractive. It certainly makes an excellence subject for the photographer with its strong graphical lines. You have framed the shot very well to create the maximum impact. Top class technical presentation.

This is like an artist's imagination running riot. Great POV.

I like this! It is a wonderfully cropped homage to modern architecture that does intrigue and looks futuristically arty too. Lots of shiny surfaces and shapes here all captured imaginatively. Original and thoughtfully composed to great effect. Well done!
Enjoy the weekend - B.

The last twenty year see we more and more big modern constructions, almost incredible through the much steel construction.
You create depth and perspective with a wonderful architecture in background.
Excellent captured, also perfect taken.
Nice presentation, pleasant colours.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,

On dirait les tuyaux d'échappement d'un moteur de dragster. On sent la puissance des formes. Le cadrage architectural est aussi moderne que le sujet. Les couleurs froides sont superbes.

Good evening Beverly,
Masterfully placed the super-modern statue on pic. space, alongside the modern glassed edifice, by itself fit superbly with it.
Details mingling nicely, the covered pedestrian bridge leads away from the building, and leave the viewer with a thought: towards where doe's it go...
I'd also stop and take shots over such an intriguing place, looking for maybe a possible reflection.
Good choice, have a nice weekend,

This one is making me sit up and stare as well! Such lovely modern design and architecture. I think what humans have lost over the time is exquisite carvings and sculptures instead we have gained in shapes and designs, here you present a perfect example of that fact. Thanks for sharing a unique place and a unique sculpture.

I have to be 100% honest...Germany has never really interested me in a country to travel to, it just doesn't come to mind when i make a list.
perhaps one day in the far future :)
as for this photo here, it has a real industrial type of feel and vibe to it don't you think?
i like the combination of the grey metalic and blue glass on the right.
a very manly photo :)
which of course i like

I like how you applied this classic line to a view of modern architecture which you have approached and framed in a very intriguing way. A great idea to choose an intricate part of the whole and isolate it in a creative composition which is really eloquent. A well orchestrated play of perspectives that run into each other and create patterns within patterns. There's excellent sharpness and I like how you retained a chromatic harmony that exalts the graphism of your composition and integrates the less attractive features of the architecture. Great work, congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,

I was all prepared to comment on your previous picture when the title of this one grabbed me, and sure enough...my curiosity won out! :) Your note describes a lot of what I was thinking when I first took a closer look, there's really quite a bit going on here. At first glance it certainly appeared intriguing...and the more time I've spent analyzing the visual, the more fascinated I've become with the shapes, forms, and overall display of design. Sleek, stylish in its own right, and full of...well, curiosity! I keep finding my self leaning towards the right, wanting to level off that slope. :) Enjoy the weekend. Take good care.
