Photographer’s Note
This late 1930's tram belonged to interurban tramway Rhein-Haardtbahn. Nowadays it's owner is Bahnfreunde Rhein-Neckar-Pfalz, an association of tramway enthusiasts in Mannheim region.
Desaturated and tone to give more nostalgic feeling, and get attention away from urban background.

HI Kari, a very nostalgic shot, the sepia tones are perfectly suited to your intention to "date" the photo. Also you've framed the tram really well. Many compliments, Lisa.

Hallo Kari!
Yes, this photo gives a lot of memories. As schoolboys we laid percussion caps at the rails which produced a wonderful bang when the tram crushed them. The driver always stopped the tram in order to see what had hasppened ... it was always again great ;-))
This b/w version works very well here.
Greetings from still cold Germany!

Hi Kari,
nice picture taken at Mannheim, i work in Bad Dürkheim, and this is the endstation of the Rhein-Haardt-Bahn; just a few weeks ago i saw a picture of this train at our newspaper, telling the story of that club of railway-friends..
have a fine day, regards Bernd

Hello Kari,
Simple but good nostalgic shot, in both topic and PP. Modern trams just don't have the same spirit, do they?

The style of the picture suits the nostalgic and elegant tram wonderfully. The composition is attractive... spectacular show. Have a nice week!

Hi Kari, you're bringing back memories of times long gone...The sepia helps a lot of course. This 'Strassenbahn' has the looks of the old Gent tramwas of my youth. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Kari.
I like the atmopshere of the tram...and the contrast with the "modern" background....
Well done!

Very nice view of this old style tramway, with xcelent sharpeness. It looks as new, which is a testimony of the work of the association you mention in your note;
All the best,

This more like it, an old tram that still gets the oppportunity to run along a real system, effective treatment here.

Terve Kari,
Nice oldie and equally nice nostalgic PP, but I don't like so much the faded and the too modern bus behind.
Have a nice week end JY
