Photographer’s Note

It was a cold October Sunday and there was a light fog in the castle park. The sun rose slowly and flooded the space with warm light.
The castle of Karlsruhe was built in 1715 in the middle of forest as a residence of the Margrave Karl Wilhelm of Baden-Durlach. There are 32 streets radiating out of the castle's central tower, out of which the southern half are the streets of the city, while the northern half are footpaths in the forest. The castle has been heavily damaged in the World War II and nowadays it hosts a museum.
