This is a square of the technical university campus in Karlsruhe. The university have received its "elite" status only two weeks ago. A student of chemical engineering told me they sometimes call the university MIT of Germany.

The sculpture in the picture resembles x-dimensional world, so complicated and incomprehensible to human mind. At the same time, students on the right seem to find 3 dimensions perfectly enough to be happy and not to be worried how to play in fourth or some higher dimension (physicists say there are 11 of them).

The students are playing a Europe (world?) wide popular youth foot game, called differently almost in each city perhaps.
