Photographer’s Note

This is the top floor of a shopping centre, opened only in autumn 2005 in Karlsruhe, a beautiful city indeed. (I've found a great description of the city at this picture). .

It is funny how this picture shows that shopping centres are sometimes very neutral about consumption fevers they are built for. Because like in this case, you can yourself choose yourself to either be immersed in shopping activities or in the architectural masterpieces around. Symbolical, this celestial view is being seen only by the most curious or.. simply by those, who leave their cars on the top floor of the parking lot you can see the entrance to straight ahead joining left and right.

Very nice symmetrical view of this shopping centre Paulius. I agree with Colin. It does have a very futuristic feel to it.

Hi Paul! I see you have a new camera! Seems to me, though, that the pictures you've made with it so far are much less personal than the ones you used to make - they're taken to show a subject which impresses you more than for the picture itself. Do you remember that one? It told something about you, and is worth many of these...

Looks awesome there. I would have liked to see more of the shopping crowd below, while maintaining the view of the roof. Maybe a portrait position of your camera would have done the trick. TFS, Gilbert

Beautiful modern architechture indeed. Really light inside the building.
I like this POV, however have you thought about going down one floor to take the photo vertical instead of horizontal like this one? You probably would need another lens though.
