June 1st2013 was the most flooded day in Germany, with rainstorms and strong currents gushing rivers. That's what greeted us when arrived in Heidelberg. This is another view of the overflowed Nekar river, taken near the bridge already shown in this posted Hochwasser picture.
The tight ropes barely held the vessel anchored.

This time, it's a misty river...when rain greeted you, you had to take it. That's the uncertainty of travel. It's beautiful in a different way.

I read about the rain and flooding in Europe. Having lived near the Mississippi River I can relate to those events. The river current look very strong. Nicely captured with good details. Well done, tfs.

The distance between the boat and the shore is giving depth to the scene. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the buildings. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

I love the strong colors in this fascinating image. A carefully constructed composition and a delight to view from the riverboat.Keep sharing.TFS.

I like your POV that uses the boat to frame the left edge of the photo. The scenery is very pleasant with a row of colorful buildings against the lush green hills. The clouds on the hills hovering like the fog is a nice touch. Great photo, TFS!

You're capturing well this scene by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the overflowed river, a row of elegant building along the bank of the river and the rich greenery in back. It's also impressive in misty atmosphere. And, the ship's bow held to the tight ropes draws out a good impact in this image.

Un mois de pluie énorme, l'on voit très bien la forte montée de l'eau, bon cadrage de l'avant du bateau, la vue du pont et les bâtiments qui longe le fleuve, une lumière naturel bien capter du moment

you've employed an attractive composition and superb depth and clarity to describe the charming scenery but also the alarming weather conditions of that day. The stretched ropes, the brown water and its texture, the gloomy colours and the fog give us a very thorough impression which we can appreciate at ease through our screens. The boat is an important element of your reportage and offers great depth too. I like how the scene starts with the boat and ends with the bridge. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,
PS Winter has been showing us its fierce face since yesterday. Let's hope we'll be able to cope.

Hola Ike, would be you a kind of god to atrack rains and floods?
Descriptiva title for a well taken image of the brown waters with the houses and bridge in contrast with the vegetation
Not sun , but as ususal you obtained a personal capture
Like the kind of frame given by the ship

A masterful piece of work done in the framing of this shot on the river. The inclusion of the boat in the foreground really focuses the eye on the scene. Good depth and light well managed for such poor weather conditions. Very nice.

A splendid image Ike, one little small advice, I see in the corner a small leaves, I would this remove.
We get a lovely view about these area with the village along the edge of the river.I find your picture very pleasant
Also excellent perspective and depth picture.
Very well presentation, nice done, TFS.

A good photojournalistic shot and here is proof if there is ever a long drought in the future and the skeptics say it was impossible for the river ever to get this high! The prow of the boat at left adds lead in lines. Nice repetition of the houses along the distant riverbank. Tfs!
Miguel82 (17317) 2013-12-04 12:39
nice view of Nekar river, good inclusion the boat in the pov, I like the typical houses on the opposite bank, excellent hues, high definition
Felicitari, multumesc domnule, la revedere

Nice view to Neckar shore. Well exposed photo, even the light conditions were not very good. I like the inclusion of boat front part. The overall photo arrangement is very well balanced. Well done.

Bad luck with the climax on your trip to Germany, the image of the river looks stunning with this high flow, lovely green shore we see the other side with these beautiful houses.
A colorful suitable for the climatic conditions.
Also both sharpness, such as lighting are great.
Well done. I Like
Enjoy a nice day.

You travelled these regions a couple of weeks before us and experienced all the bad weather. We were concerned that our trip might be cancelled if things didn't improve!
I do like the way that you have included the boat's prow. It gives the impression that the viewer is sharing the experience that you had, as well anchoring the f/g for that sense of depth.
The low clouds and the murky appearance of the river are further clues to the bad weather conditions.
It would appear that the boats wouldn't sail under that bridge. Did you have to travel by road?
Have a great day,
For December, the weather is quite bright and relatively warm, today!
jmdias (50355) 2013-12-25 13:48
here we can have an idea of the flood in the river, that I think isn't so important. very nice details of the houses and bridge ahead. nice register. TFS.
