Photographer's Note

View from small town of Grafenhausen in German Black Forest to Swiss Alps.

The direct distance between my camera and Swiss Alps is more than 120km.

Grafenhausen is located in southern Black Forest at an elevation of 1,000m a.s.l. and it is well known for its Rothaus brewery, one of Germany's most successful and profitable regional breweries.

The brewery was founded in 1791 by the Abbot of St. Blasien Martin Gerbert as a measure to encourage economic growth in the Black Forest.

Hello Miro,
This is a lovely view with a cosy, green rural foreground and a fantastic background where the snow-clad peaks seem to be flowing in the air. The photo is carefully composed with a narrow line of treetops in the foreground.

the landscape you present it to us here is marvelous.I like the contrast between green forest and meadows in the FG and those impressive,snow covered mountains far in the distance.Eye-catching juxtaposition of different landscapes.Well composed and framed scene with captivating colors and superb clarity.Nicely done!

The way the mountains in the background fade into the mist is really something, Miro - they almost become abstract shapes floating in the sky, or really angular clouds! The scene below is wonderful, and the tractor adds a great human element. Thanks for sharing it.

Hello Miro,
with the inclusion of the tractor at work in the foreground you have given the image an extra interest to complement the stunning scenery.
From the fields to the floating mountains there is fine sense of perspective.

Wonderful view showing the Alps through the clear high air while lower slopes dissappear into haze. Foreground field slopes nicely and the tractor is a good extra detail.

Spectacular view, this is truly beautiful! Well composed to show off both the foreground and background, which appears to be floating in air. This really shows the grandeur of the Swiss Alps and the lush green countryside of Germany. Great job in combining the two countries and showcasing their natural beauty. Very impressive!

A beautiful landscape photo. The wide-angle works well, the depth of field is superb and I am stunned that what I thought were clouds are actually the peaks of the mountains. Impressive.
