Photographer’s Note

Just areound the corner from my inlaws house in Germany. They live on Knickstrasse but i can't recall the name of this road. Early morning fog.

Shane I am sure that if you remove the buildings and leave just the lamp post and the person walking in the fog this would be an awesome composition. I like it the way it is now. I believe you capture this moment at the right time with the fog and the semi deserted street. I see good lines going deep into the void in the background. An excellent picture in my opinion.

superbe atmosphère transcrite dans cette image. Le brouillard donne un bel effet, et malgré tout, la lumière est assez présente.

Wonderfully crafted B&W image with a calm, slightly misterious mood to it. I like the person in the background. Regarding nits, the upper right corner draws a bit too much attention as it's completely different from the others. Independent of this minor thing, I think I still prefer the color version with a cars tail lights swooshing by.

Very nice and effective shot, Shane! I like the gradient of tonality going from gray to white - very nice and smartly transformed into B&W - increases drama, mystery and graphics elements of the composition. The lone man is SO in place - well timed! Exposure control is also very good and effective!

C'est très simple, avec un petite impression de vide étrange. Mais la composition particulièrement astucieuse de l'image fait que l'on ne s'y ennuie pas. J'adore, bravo !
