Photographer's Note
Harzer Schmalspurbahnen is a network of 1,000 mm gauge railways in the Harz mountains in central Germany.
The railway is notable for running a significant number of its trains with steam haulage, mostly employing tank locomotives built by VEB Lokomotivbau "Karl Marx" in Babelsberg. Harzer Schmalspurbahnen connects cities of Wernigerode, Nordhausen and Quedlinburg with about 140 kilometers of track.
The most popular destination on the network is Brocken, highest peak of Northern Germany at 1141 m above sea level. The Brocken has always played a role in legends and has been connected with witches and devils.

Hej Kari,
Your choice of sepia enhances the already strong feeling of nostalgia here. This photo is really timeless and could have been quite old. This engine provide a lot of power and action to the well taken picture.

Hey! This comes so powerful out of the past!
Great capture! It looks like a scene from some wild west American film. The subject and surroundings are so beautiful but its the dynamic of it which makes so powerful!
Well done,
Donato
