[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
L’église du Sauveur construit sur les bords du Havel près de Sacrow (1841/1843). Le est de Friedrich Wilhelm IV, roi de Prusse, et il fut réalisé par l’architecte Ludwig Persius. Le style est italien avec une campanille séparée de la nef. Lors de la construction du mur de Berlin cette tour devenait partie intégrale du mur et l’églis se retrouvait dans une sorte de noman’s land. Restaurée en 1993-1995.

The Church of Our Saviour is situated on the banks of the Havel near Sacrow. It was built by the architect Ludwig Persius based on plans designed by Friedrich Wilhelm IV of Prussia. It has a classical medieval Italian design with a separate campanilla. The tower was incorporated in the Berlin wall in 1961, and the church was situated in noman’s land. It was restored, after the fall of the Wall in 1993-1995

The architecture is unusual and so is the location so close to the water. I agree with Jean Pierre about the crop, but you have captured excellent detail in the building.

Hi John,

Beautiful church in very beautiful surrounding! The green trees are a perfect frame for this architecture! The light management is very good too! I'm not sure about the square format, it's possible a more pano format would be good, avoiding perhaps some of sky, too much lightned! Thanks.

Good sharp image of this interesting church. It's interesting that it's built right on the water. This sky is strong but seems perhaps to be a little grainy. We done.

Hi John,
A bold, clear and crisp shot, with the large format carrying high impact. I like the pleasing blending of hues here between the beige and green tones especially. The proportion of water in the foreground is just right, and the clarity of detail on the church facade is impressive. This is a most unusual architectural design. Thanks for the fine note....later.

L'église est parfaitement éclairée, légèrement au détriment des nuages.
Un filtre dégradé aurait pu réduire l'écart, mais l'image est quand même bonne.
