Photographer’s Note

Another silent evidence of the biggest crime human beings faced just 75 years ago at the center of the civilised world, at the center of Europe.
In some streets of Berlin you can see those brass plates with the names of people; and when they was beep deported and in which concentration camp they was been killed.

75 sene evvel medeni dünyanın gözü önünde, Avrupanın göbeğinde işlenmiş bir insanlık suçunun sessiz uyarıcıları ! Berlin in pek çok yerinde, kaldırım taşlarına monte edilmiş bu prinç plakalardan var.
O civardaki evlerinden sorla sökülüp götürülmüş, ve sadece yahudi asıllı oldukları için öldürülmüş insanların, adları, hangi tarihte götürüldükleri ve hangi kamplarda öldürülüklerini gösteren plakalar.

Elinize sağlık.insanlık tarihinin en büyük utançlarından birini bir kez daha vurgulamışsınız.ne güzel bir düşünce.bana göre her yere bu masum insanların adı yazılmalı,yazılmalı ki insanlık utansın.hala dünyanın pek çok yerinde yapılan böyle vahşetler yaşanmasın.ne yazık ki günümüzde de böyle psikopat ruhlu insan aramadığınız kadar.belki bir ümit böyle şeyleri göre göre kendilerine gelirler.

Mesut,
a silent document of a terrible crime against the entire humanity. The simplicity with its minimalist tone opens the possibility to think a lot about it. That is a very good compositional point. Instead of cluttering thousands of details in a shot, just having 5 brass plates lost in the cobblestones makes a much better option.

Hi Mesut, spent some time in Berlin but never saw this embedded plates. They must have oinstalled this just recently. very interesting. Thanks for sharing...Alex

Hallo Mesut!
Diese Gedenksteine gibt es auch hier in Siegen. Der Künstler, der sie herstellt und anbringt, nennt sie Stolpersteine und drückt damit aus, was sie bewirken sollen. Bitte schau einmal hier!
Ein sehenswertes und bedrückendes Foto...

Çok çeşitli kompozisyonlarla tam bir belgesel oldu bu son çalışmanız.Tebrikler ederim.Doğum ve ölüm tarihlerine baktığımda 50-60 lı yaşlarındalar Tanrının verdiği ömrü iyi kötü yaşamışlar ama biri varki tam dram henüz 20 sinde.Elinize sağlık, bu karede fazla sözü kaldırmayacaklardan

Interesting picture, I did not know they had made this kind of memorial plates in Berlin. Like the opposite of the street of fame in Hollywood...

Bonjour Mesut,
simple mais aussi très graphique avec une mise en oblique très judicieuse. Une photo nette et bien exposée. Tu aurais dû nettoyer ce mégot de cigarette.
Une image forte en souvenirs pénibles.
