Photographer’s Note

This is the memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe. Also known as the "Holocaust Memorial".It is been built on a 19,000 square meter (4.7 acre) site covered with 2,711 concrete slabs or "stelae", arranged in a grid pattern on a sloping field.

When I made this capture ; the weather was quite dim and rainy. But the contrast of the colors between the row of trees at background had a great symbolic value for me : even under worst conditions there is allways a place for hope.

Bu karede görülen çeşitli yüksekliklerdeki 2,711 beton blok, Avrupanın göbeğinde işlenmiş en büyük insanlık suçunun, Holocaust'un anısına yapılmış bir anıt.
19 dönümlük bir alana yayılan bu anıt, genç, ihtiyar; çoluk, çocuk bakmadan öldürülen milyonlarca yahudi'nin anısına Berlin'in en merkezi bir yerine yapılmış.

Bu kareyi çektiğimde hava oldukça karanlık ve yağmurluydu.
Ancak arka plandaki ağaçların renginin oluşturduğu kontrast benim için son derece önemli ve sembolik bir mesaj veriyordu ; en zor koşullarda bile, umudunu yitirmemek.

Hallo Mesut!
SO habe ich das Mahnmal noch nie gesehn. Hier schafft Dein Standort beinahe ein vollkommen anderes Erscheinungsbild - indem Du die Stadt, die Hektik rundherum einfach "ausgeschaltet" hast. Ein hochinteressanter Effekt!

Hallo Mesut! Ein Ort der Stille und zum Nachdenken gedacht und ich finde der truebe Herbsthimmel traegt dazu bei das Traurige zu unterstreichen, aber es ist auch Hoffnung da mit dem Farbtupfer am Horizont. Der Streifen gelb-gruen ist ein spannender Kontrast zum "grau-in-grau". Interessante Arbeit zu einem wichtigen Thema, das immer wieder Aktualitaet hat. Mit besten Gruessen ... Barbara.

The tree line as in the background is simply beautiful and you propose one the most interesting compo about that place I've seen on TE. A strong and dark and sad atmosphere, perfectly composed.

Berlin kareleriniz birbirinden güzel devam ediyor.Mükemmel perspektifle tanıttığınız bu soğuk Anıt taş bloklarını, arka sırada dizili sonbahar renklerine bürünmüş ağaçlar müthiş sıcak göstermiş.Bu anıtı ilk Selnurun çalışması ile tanımıştım
şimdi daha detaylı gördük.Elinize sağlık.Almanların yapılanları kabul edip bu denli büyük anıtı inşa etmeleride çok ilginç.Sayenizde Berlinin yeni yüzünü gezmiş oldum teşekkürler ederim

kalp kalbe karsidir derler, ne enteresan degil mi? Sizi dusunup, bugunku fotografiniza bakarken sizden kritik geldi.

Fotoğrafın grafik etkisine kapılmış bir halde notunuzu okurken ağaçların kontrastına yaptığınız yorumla bir kere daha bayıldım karenize. Gri taşlarıyla anıta ve karanlık mazisine karşılık hemen ilerisindeki bahar renkleriyle süslü ağaçlar...

Brandenburg sadece koncertolar degil elbet. Bir de bu var. Kotu hava anitin tuyler urperticiligine katkida bulunmus. Soguk mermerin arkadaki canli renklerle yaptigi tezati cok begendim.

tüyler ürperten bir anıt bu... ürpertsin de zaten... bakan hatırlasın ve insanlığından utansın... olayın ruhuna yakışır bir fotoğraf olmuş bu... sade ve dingin... ilerideki sonbahar renklerine bürünmüş doğa da hayatın devam ettiğini simgeliyor adeta... herşeye rağmen...

Bütün bu fotoğraflar ders ise, bu fotoğrafınız da "perspektif üzerine bir güzelleme" dersi olabilir. Konu ve ışık olarak neredeyse siyah beyaz fakat sonbahar ağaçları da estetik bir renk çizgisi olarak yerini çok iyi biçimde alıyor. Elinize sağlık.

The best photo of this monument that I have seen sofar, the effect is graphic with the bicolor line of trees in the BG, splendid contrast with the grey colours of the monument which is probably not very easy to photography ! Great POV too,

Bu kareyi gerçekten kıskandım ama :) Ağaçların en renkli elbiselerini giydiği zamanda gitmişsiniz, bakışaçısı enfes, derinliği çok iyi vermişsiniz, bence yağmur bile katkıda bulunmuş kareye.. Tebrik ederim.
Bir sağa bir sola gidip ben de birkaç kare çekmiştim orada, son derece fotoğrafik bir anıt bana göre;

Mesut, this is a powerful image. The colors of the fall in the bg make it seem even more somber than it is. Great capture.
