Photographer’s Note
In the case of a word like DEMOCRACY, not only is there no agreed definition, but the attempt to make one is resisted from all sides. It is almost universally felt that when we call a country democratic we are praising it: consequently the defenders of every kind of régime claim that it is a democracy, and fear that they might have to stop using the word if it were tied down to any one meaning. Words of this kind are often used in a consciously dishonest way. That is, the person who uses them has his own private definition, but allows his hearer to think he means something quite different.
George Orwell
Two spiral ramps run parallely to & from the top of the dome of the Reichstag. As you walk up you can see people going down but you never meet them. It's only when you reach the top that you realize the existance of the second ramp.
On the left side you can see part of the mirrored cone that is used to reflect light down into the parliaments main hall.

Hi Dimitris,
this is far the best capture of Reichstag I've seen so far. The graphical and visualm impact is very powerful, strong with stressed characteristics of this unique modern intervention into the core of hystoric building. Subtle shot of two couples, one on the way up and one down gives excellent feeling of dimensions and scale of this enormous glass sculpure. Excellent work. My compliments.
Kind regards,
Jeri
