Photographer’s Note
The transaction
City: Berlin – Quarter: Mitte – Location: Brandenburger Tor.
This year the Berlin wall was breached 20 years ago. And the city underwent an enormous transformation after that, both physically and socially. So no more heavily armed border guards, but only young entrepreneurs posing as such, likes this guy selling DDR stamped visa for 1 Euro a piece. He was doing brisk business and had its own place in the Brandenburger Tor tourist pandemonium ;-)
Have a great start of the week!
I post this from Berlin, using my sub-notebook which its uncalibrated screen and only a trail version of PSE installed, so I hope it looks okay. I will be slow commenting, but will catch up with y’all later. Oh, yes I used a new tool: the Panasonic G1 – both in term of handling and picture Q a real delight.
Tech: I altered the saturation, contrast, curves and levels, USM-ed, added a frame and resized, enhanced the edges

this is also berlin!
I experienced something similar some 12 years ago...when I bought a soviet military hat!
berlin still bears the scars of its past...although this city underwent a great and deep surface change!
well done

Hi Bert, is the woman with the camera what gives sense to the photo in my opinion, the all thing has become a touristic attraction, for good I should say... Good eye!

Hello Bert. Your photo gallerie shows an interesting personal handwriting. Also the today's photo is worth seeing. Above all also the skillful composition is outstanding. A Workshop with several perspectives would have been very instructive. Altogether a good shot. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hey Bert,

Bedankt.
Groeten uit een 1/8 bewolkt Vlaanderen en 11.7 ° C.
John.

Hi Bert,
Excellent shot. About the only thing that reveals that this is not a picture taken before the wall fell is the 5 EUR note. Having travels though DDR I still have all these crazy stamps and controlling in fresh memory. TFS and have a fine week!
Cheers,
Ulf

Hallo Bert,
Groet,
Henk
