Potsdamer Platz Flatiron III

900 Pixel Beta Version

The Kohlhoff Tower - architect: Hans Kohlhof
The third impressive flatiron-like skyscraper of the Potsdamer Platz in Berlin.
This time a picture by daylight. The evening-pictures with the festival of light were less attractive than the other two tower.

The Kollhoff Tower is a 101 meter high building with 25 floors in Berlin. From the Potsdamer Platz it is centrally located at the beginning of the new city district, which was built in the 1990s. The building named after Hans Kollhoff from Kollhoff and Timmermann Architekten was completed in 1999.

Kollhoff Tower, graded back in the style of classic high-rise buildings
Together with the northern railway station (103 meters) and the Forum Tower designed by Renzo Piano in the south, it forms a high-rise building in the middle of the city.
The lower floors are intended for retail stores, while the upper floors are reserved for offices. At the top level, there has been a viewing platform since April 15, 2000, leading to the fastest passenger lift in Europe. It carries the passengers at 8.65 meters per second.
