Photographer’s Note

The last days I already showed you parts of the "Gärten der Welt" (gardens of the world), a wonderful park in Berlin. After Japanese garden and Korean garden here I show you a part of the Italian Renaissance garden there.

An abridgment from the brochure about the "Gardens of the world":
"Access to this garden is via two separate flights of steps. The large wrought-iron gate at the end of one of the staircases opens directly on the main garden. The other set of steps, leading to the forecourt, provides access via the loggia. Whichever entrance you'll choose, the sunny landscape of Italy awaits you. Box tree topiary, artfully laid-out paths, stone benches, statuary, a large fountain shell and numerous potted plants in terracotta containers all invite visitors on a journey back in time, back to Renaissance".

The Italian Renaissance garden, 3000 square metres, was built in 2008 and it cost 2,1 million Euro. Another view you can see here.

In the map view right hand I put the marker on the main entrance of the park because the Renaissance garden wasn't yet completed when the photos for GoogleEarth were taken.
