Photographer’s Note
Returning to my Corsican travelogue today…. Having reached the Col de Bavella we set off on a walk to the Trou de la Bombe – a hole in the rock – which was a bit of an anticlimax and not worth photographing due to poor light conditions. Nevertheless, as we continued on our walk the red rock glowed in the sunshine and this solitary tree looked at me. Shortly afterwards the sky clouded over, it became really chilly and heavy drops of rain began to fall.

bonjour susanna,
un arbre solitaire amoureux de la vie, il en faut du courage pour s'élever dans des conditions aussi sévères. quand le ciel s'est dégagé il a offert les plus belles lumières qui t'on permis de mettre ce paysage naturel en pleine valeur.

Hello Susanna,
Une composition simple mais qui fonctionne très bien. Cette arbre semble s'accrocher avec rage sur ces rocher hostiles. On se demande ou il va chercher sa stabilité dans cet endroit !

je vois que cet arbe a été boudé par la communauté :-(
il est tout a fait typique de nos montagnes, souvent on trouve ces arbres isolés, ici a Bavella ce sera sur e la roche granitique grisatre, vers Piana on l'aurait trouvé sur d ela roche rougeatre..
un cadrage minimaliste qui me plait

Well spotted Su and a good capture of the lone tree up in the stones. Compowise good balance between the stones at left an cloud to the right.
...and from where will the root of the trees find nourishment..

Olá Susanna, at least you manage to do the shot before the clouds and rain. It seems as if the tree is trying to escape the arriving clouds by leaning to the left. In this case is not such a vantage as it gets more exposed to the chilly weather ;-) Nice picture. Love this kind of trees that 'grow' in rocks.
