Photographer’s Note

The citadel of Bastia seen from the old harbour.

The ramparts were added between 1480 and 1521. However the present appearance of the citadel and the other constructions forming the defences of Bastia date back to the time of Louis XV.

I like the composition a lot. It looks like a place where I would go to meet my thoughts while glancing at the beautiful scene in front of me.

Hello Jean Michel.
I really like this photo very much. It is atmospheric and moody, and has a beautiful strange light on the pier. Perhaps it is your very good post processing work. The composition is great, with a great sense of depth and perspective achieved with the very wide angle lens. The citadel looks beautiful all lit up on the other side of the water. Wonderful sky, great reflection - just a superb shot.

Salut Jean Michel, il me semble reconnaitre le coin, plus serieusement j'aime beaucoup la douceur qui se dégage de ce cliché sans parle de la PDV qui est tout aussi interessante bravo. A+++ JO

très belle prise, la lumiere est belle avec le ciel bleu foncé bien balancé par l'éclairage qui se reflete en plus.

Belle composition avec une excellente nettété, surtout sur les pavés au premier plan. Le mouvement de la mer et les lumières en forme d'étoile sont très plaisants. Joli effet grâce au grand angle.
