Photographer’s Note

On Tuesday, the district of 'La Défense', Paris, celebrated its 50th anniversary.

I went there for the first time last week-end.
I thought it was only a business district and was afraid it would be desert on a Sunday afternoon, above all because the weather was so grey.

It was a good suprise to see that this district is quite animated, even during the week-end. You meet people quietly walking or making sport, some children too (see ws). In fact, the district also welcomes 20 000 inhabitants :o

They were even making a movie and a whole part was not accessible to us.

I was lucky to enjoy a very very few rays of sun... no time to think about the right composition (if I had, I would have crossed the path to get the whole Grande Arche, of course): just a few seconds to click and get this shot, just a few minutes before it started raining.

Have a good day!

PS : I did not know that 'La Défense' district is exactly located at Puteaux and not Paris :o
Thank you Laurent!
