Photographer’s Note
So sunny and hot in Paris these 3 last days, i decided i had to cool it down by any mean. Don't know whether posting a photo of winter will sort anything...
We don't have much snow in paris, but in january, we had the first snowfall for years that would a bit noticeable. I ran to the Tuileries park, there were already dozens of photographers like me hoping to shoot something we can only view on pics about Paris in the 50's.
Maybe i was hoping that HCB would have also been attracted by the scenery and would come down, as he lives exactly in front of where that scene was taken...
(to tell the truth, i was taking an opportunity to try my digicam my wife bought me for xmas...)

Nice shot and composition. I like the two chairs that are face to face, as if they were talking to each other and good thing that there was this lady walking just in front of you, without these chairs and lady, the photo would have been empty, but now it's not.
PS from a Canadian, you call that snow ?

Nice shot, Luko. Shanghai is getting damn hot as well, so it's nice to cool off to this image. The chairs are a real nice part of the shot and the blurry figure works nicely as well...I just wish there was more punch here somewhere, as per HCB shots (perhaps B&W would work?).

It's the same in the UK nowadays, snow is a rarity, last winter we saw one light fall.
Nice, stark picture, in summertime that park would be filled with passers by, here it looks a very lonely and peaceful place.

Nice composition Luko, but there are some things I think you would have caught differently if you had been shooting with your Leica. I would like to see the walking girl be a little sharper. To me, it looks more like fuzziness than motion blur. Also, I wish you had not cut the tops of the trees off, as it looks like you would only have needed to step back a very little bit in order to keep them in the frame. This is a good shot Luko, but not in competition with your very best.

What a great image. I usually give more critical feed back but I really enjoy your work. I think I would have been tempted to include a little less of the tree tops but your method here works well. It gives a lot of space to the image and the woman walking "off" the photo is great. Wonderful composition and subject.

Hi Luko,
Quite a composition, but there is a vaccum in the middle somehow, I don't know but my photographer's sense tells me there should have been something in the middle. But I can sense the serenity in the environ. Maybe it would look better it's cropped a little more in the bottom for that cinemascope look.
And don't forget to correct the medium as 'color'.
