Photographer’s Note
Riding the Paris Metro, or any other subway, is not really fun (except perhaps if you're a tourist and it's the first time) so you have to find a way to kill the time. A book or a cell phone can do the job well enough.
For that matter, so can a camera, if you're a TE type.

Hello Ken,
A very realistic and well seen daily life photo. A great "urban" composition, very sharp, which was probably not that easy seen the place.
Have a nice day,
Marion

Hello Ken.
Beautiful image of the subway.
As for me, this image also recalls the loneliness of individual among the crowd. everyone is indifferent to the other people... Except the photographer that all people interest.
A nice daily life photo.
Please,excuse my bad English.
Regards.
Pierre.

Some strong kick in the teeth would be a very helpfull element to enhance the somehow dull power of this babe...
Yet... It has its charm... It has its story...
( and an extra knee :-)))
Stay smiling, good friend...
Your shy presence is very needed in here

Hi Ken,
Great one! You chose a perfect moment to catch their expressions completely concentrated on their things as well to get the mouvement on the window while another train passed on the bg.

Flavia

Killing Time like Anne Clarck's song... Second time today I mentionned this singer.
Yes Killing time indeed... I also read and listen to music in the metro or the RER : ) Sometimes I observe people. It is also interesting.
Excellent b&w and POV. A successfull one.
Regards
Fred

That's typical of the Paris tube, when they are not overcrowded. Well taken mister Ken, the reporter

Hello Ken,
I know... it's an old post. But, I came to see it from the theme it was in.
Metros are metros are metros... all over the world, I guess. That is an extraordinary mean of transport though, and yes... sometimes it is boring and we have to 'kill' the time. I like books! ;)
Ok, back to the picture. I find it interesting. 1/30 sec. was perfect for the blurred background which is good as not distract from the main action, namely the "killers" of time. ;)
Well, ya. The third knee is a little disturbing. So, why not cut it? Actually, I did cut more than one knee! I'm a knee hater. Just joking, of course! ;)) Well, the WS is only a suggestion.
There is some strange 'artifact' on the front guy's face. Not too sure what it is. His face is cut in two, in diagonal. Do you see what I mean?
Have a great weekend!
Claire
