Photographer’s Note

I work a lot the past few weeks therefore no other choice to go for a walk on the evening, to explore the Norman villages and continue the "battle of Normandy" with Pixel!

Yesterday evening, in Cambremer, a small village on the edge of the Pays d'Auge. The region is known for its rich heritage. The construction of the village are mostly of the nineteenth century and offers a surprising mix of timbered-houses, brick and slate.
Before I'll present some examples, and to change with timbered-houses, I present to you the famous wooden jumping jack which are decorating the city ...
I haven't found yet something about their history and the tourist office is closed on Sunday, but I hope I will !
In any case, there are several puppets in the village, including one playing flute in a niche of the church steeple.
This one is on the main square of the village, facing the church which is reproduced on the painting.
