Photographer’s Note

Mistic, or Miss Tic, is well known by the Parisians. Since 1985, we can see her drawings made for the stencil on the walls of Paris. Born in 1956, she is now recognized as artist and exposes(explains) in some museums.Her « logo » is a woman like her on the path of the war, the art and the love.
I liked her work here surrounded with tags, with film posters, with this motorcycle in foreground.
Photo taken in the 5th district near the square of the Contrescarpe.

Super les filles, grâce à toi et Marie, je connais désormais les dessins de Misstic qui égayent les rues parisiennes.
Celui que tu as dégoté ici est top, et mis en valeur par la moto. Il y a un côté très rock'n'roll dans cette photo !
Vraiment un super cadrage et une très belle idée de réalisation.
Tu as des balades productives ;o)

Je préfère : "cette photo a été prise dans cinquième arrondissement de Paris, près de la place de la Contrescarpe"

C'est plus poétique et la photo devient encore plus belle.

hello Diane,
fantastic colours, and although the photo is buzy with details, the two dominant colours - blue and red - prevent it from becoming chaotic. the combination of red bike and drawing of what looks like a self-confident woman is quite powerful, I definitely like it :)

Une belle image riche en couleur qui nous fait connaître une artiste dont personellement j'ignorais tout. J'aime beaucoup ta composition avec notamment cette moto à l'avant-plan et le morceau d'affiche sur la gauche. Une belle photo d'aujourd'hui.

Les belles silhouettes peintes au pochoir par Mistic sur les murs de Paris sont des œuvres d'art à des années lumière des tags si mal aimés. Bien mis en valeur ici.

Salut DIane,
Elle est superbe cette image, effectivement une vrai image d'affiche. Le cadre est bien vu avec tes jeu de couleurs et celà fonctionne bien ici en post pour TE, mais j'avoue que si je devais l'imprimer pour une affiche qu'elle se suffirait à elle mêmee. Le cadrage est très bien vu sur la moto, la taille d'essence sous la roue parfaite et les jeux d'affiche et tag excellent en arrière plan. Très beau boulot et beau coup d'oeil!

Salut Diane,

Je le connais, celui-là, je l'ai vu cet été pour la première fois, frustrée dans mon plâtre de ne pouvoir trouver le bon cadrage ! Il est très beau, un des pochoirs très colorés de miss-tic, et la moto au premier plan est une vrai chance (moi, j'ai eu des voitures !)
Superbe cadrage.

Hello Diane, I love the exuberance of this shot - so much colour, and so many shapes but the black holds it together. The motorcycle is a perfect subject to take the red and black into the foreground.
