The launching of La Recouvrance (III)
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
My last view of the launching of La Recouvrance at Brest, on July 14, 1992.
I have said that the ship was not carrying guns, but this was not the case for the sloop Le Renard, positionned on the side of Belem, here on the left outside the image. And Le Renard used her guns for a great salute to the new born ship, passing in front of me in a cloud of gunpowder... I hop you will like that one, although without the sound, the effect is clearly not as lively.
A very nice week end to all.

Hello Emmanuel,
Congratulations to your 900th picture on TE, this is absolutely very a lot.
16 year ago but again a picture with reality, exactly a picture of yesterday.
I listen to the sound of it gunpowder, but I get only the smoke and no sound.
A lot people on the quay, and nice composition and real colour for a scanned image.
Very well done.
Have a nice weekend,
John.
