Instead of rust or metal crap (which I could not find in Lille ;-)), I bring you tags tonight, which to me is a kind of crap as well.
I doubt that the tags are from the owners of the mailboxes, BTW.

I found this while strolling on my own on Friday afternoon, before I had the pleasure of meeting all those TE-members.

Dear friends, I'm sorry I have so little time to spend and write comments on all the lovely photo's that are posted and the beautiful workshops. I will try to catch up later.

Hi Rinie
You get an interesting cropping on this special art in the city. I am not sure that the people living there are happy but in fact this is art.
Nice cropping !
All the best
Bertrand

Hi Rinie,
Geometric crap + graffiti crap make a good Lille crap tonight.
Your eye was vigilant prior to the meeting, i see. A fine design, a cartesian presentation. Very nice...
Cheers,
Deniz

There's a kinda rusty crusty feel to this image Rinie - urban decay of a sort - or is it embellishment - I guess it all depends on your world view - there was some very daring tagging around the city - did you see the dome near the the by now very famous statue? The variety and 'neatness of these tags across the boxes creates a very interesting art work in itself........well spotted!

beautiful, Rinie, and that small piece of wall breaks the pattern repetition nicely.

les couleurs sont super!

Hi dear. I love this kind of photos so graphic. I wonder about the outcome cropping the brick part in the upper left part of the photo, but I like it like this as well. Take care.

I musch prefer this shot to rust anyway, now we can see INTENTIONAL decay, and see that each of those scribbles have a story of their own... A modern art made of trash.

Hi Rinie,
I'm not sure that I would appreciate to have this done to my own mailbox, but I must admit that your composition is quite graphical. You have a very good eye to see such details!
Have a nice day.
Bibi

P.S. Here's a WS for you... ;o)

Rinie
Tu as su "voir" cette composition et en tirer un maximum pour nous proposer cette très intéressante composition. Content de t'avoir rencontrée samedi.
Amicalement
JJ

Ah Rinie, this is fab, a fascinating take on the urban condition of Lille the almost central compo is wicked. Great and graphic stuff! It was a pitty that I couldn't join - the pics of the event tell a great story.
Have a great week,
Bert

Hi Rinie

Good repetition of the lockers & their tags. Kind of self defeating of the taggers, wanting individuality, yet ending up all looking pretty much the same. Good social commentary. Superb sharpness & framing. Congratulations!

Hi Rinie, interesting unusual shot, and good to see you posting again, and hadn't notced. Yes, I quite appreciate you comment at the end here, same with me, except for today, when I find myself with 6 hours to kill at Wroclaw airport, wondering if I'll get home tonight.
