Traditional sailing ship, Brest 1992 (I) Photo

Photographer’s Note

One of the numerous traditional sailing ships who attended the Brest meeting in 1992. Apart from the few tall ships present, the main interest came from the different traditional ships, lots of them from the different parts of France (there had been a great incitation to restore or rebuilt traditional boats for the meeting, through a competition: "Bateaux des côtes de France") or from abroad (one of the most exotic ones was probably a replica of a Roman galley, built in Russia and who came rowing from the Balck Sea to Brest...).
I post a side view of the same ship in workshop.

Since I have not been able to identify that one, if any of the Britton TE members could be heplfull for that one, it would be nice to fill this gap.

C'est un bateau plein d'élégance. Il rayonne malgré un ciel gris. Cadrage parfait et belle netteté

Salut Emmanuel,
Très beau cadrage sur le voilier, en diagonale il donne de la perspective et un certain dynamisme à l'image. Le voilier est superbe toutes voiles dehors et se marie bien avec le chateau en arrière plan. Sans les batiments plus récent on pourait croire à une photo encore plus ancienne. J'aime bien le ciel gris, il n'est pas trop uniforme et montre un peu de relief, celà se marie bien avec l'image je trouve.

Bonsoir Emmanuel,

après les avions, un vraie encyclopedie des "Tall ships" et autres navires. Sans les éléments "modernes" comme le yacht et le camion, on peut bien s'imaginer ce bateau qui se sépare du port pour un long voyage. Composition excellente avec ce "château". Le temps n'étant pas très beau, la lumière et les couleurs nous présentent une vue avec beaucoup d'"atmosphere".

bel angle, ce bateau me plait beaucoup, de l'élégance comme le dit bertrand, un bon cadrage, un arrière plan sympa, malgré la grisaille c'est une très belle prise je trouve

Nicely rigged and with some wind to fill the sails create this dynamic capture...

Very elegant, the small wooden ship with masts all aloft against the BG of the castle. Pity about the low light, this would have been superb in bright light, I'm sure. Liked your WS as well, but this is better. Good work!

Bonjour Emmanuel,
Ce bâteau sous voiles est splendide et s'accomode fort bien du temps breton. Le POV valorise, en les détaillant, voilure et gréement.
A bientôt sur TE pour de nouvelles aventures.
