Photographer's Note

VILLEMANDEUR church St-Didier.
Church Saint Didier XIXème century, the bell tower-hall is in octagonal arrow of slates.
You will notice the difference of architectural style of a church of the 19th century with regard to churches presented on the site!
The region of Loiret suffered cruelly from the English invasion during the One hundred years war, and became famous with the liberation of Orleans for Joan of Arc 1429. Louis XII gathers Orléanais in the Crown.
During the religious wars Loiret was rather seriously touched by both waves of 1560 and 1590: the destructions of churches and the plunders were completely comparable, otherwise superiors, to those of the Revolution, and the debates were also lively as in Paris.
