| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
A quiet street and watchtower in the small town of Ribeauvillé located in the Alsace region of France.
There's nothing special about this photo, it was taken on my P&S before I got a "real" camera.
But I can't stress this point enough:
"VISIT HERE!".
It's a beautiful region with small towns and private family owned wineries. It's about 20 minutes by bus outside of Colmar. |

Kevin,
Excellent shot of the watch tower. It looks like a great place to visit. The composition is good however the shot could look better if the subject was straight. I hope you dont mind but I did a workshop. Let me know what you think.
Regards,
Kevin
Indeed the region of Alsace is an absolutely beautiful and charming place. You've chosen quite a typical view of a typical Alsatian town. Well seen. However, I hope you don't mind me saying so, your picture needs some improvement. The light and colors are good, but the framing and sharpness could be better. I find that there are too many unnecessary things in both bottom corners of the image. Unfortunately, the framing also cuts off in an unpleasant way the facades of the houses on both sides. I see better results in some of your other photos. I made a workshop version to see what results I can achieve, since I find that Kevin's workshop version did not bring about much change or improvement.
Best regards,
mrb
