Photographer's Note

The town of Douarnenez, which has a population of approximately 17,000, was formed by the merger of the four villages of Douarnenez, Ploaré, Pouldavid and Tréboul in 1945. The local economy is resolutely sea-based. The main sectors of employment are fishing with its related trades and industries including three large canning factories, food packaging compagnies, tourism and thalassotherapy. Douarnenez is a splendid coastal resort on the shores of a vast bay that is safe for bathers and easily accessible for boats. The town has three harbours.

Originale vue, tous les plans sont nets, il y a des couleurs malgré un temps gris.

An excellent low point of view, with a great effect of perspctive. I like the ring, which looks bigger than it really is nad makes this shot very powerfull. Very well one.

Congratulations for the DOF, hard to do better. It's a great idea to show this ring which captures the eye, adds a symbolic notion of attachment and completes the photo which is anyway nice to see, with a beautiful colour of the sea and various ships occupying the field.

Hello Hans, nice shot of this brittanny harbour ! original frame with ring and ropes and lovely capture of the breton weather : sky, sea and nuances of colours. Sea is exactly like that from time to time. only just a little thing about level, a lot of things seems give a very little tilt..
It is funny to see the harbour without all the boats during festival 04 (photos on TE by SophieL, Myriam Villevert and I )

Een typisch franse kleine haven, maar door deze op de rand van de kade te nemen Hans heeft een prachtig beeld op de boten, zeer mooie diepte, en schattige kleuren, mooi zo!

Looking at the harbor from the ring point of view, it adds nice framing and interest to the picture.
The ring, rope and the wall have nice textures and it looks like focusing on them (from a different angle) can also make an interesting picture.

Je me permets d'ajouter que Douarnenez était réputé jadis par la pêche à la Langouste.
L'avant-plan est intéressant excellente perspective avec ce background légèrement brumeux.

I allow myself to add that Douarnenez was famous formerly by fishing lobster. The foreground is interesting, excellent perspective with this slightly misty background.

Very creative perspective here Hans. Great effect with the rope leading into the picture. The colors look natural and the composition is very good. I like it.

This Douarnenez one, is a very good idea of fmaing whith a strong departure in foreground, not nice weather as I can see, but good colors.
I like it and you show very well this place.

Très original ce gros anneau pour un si petit bateau. L'ambiance bretonne, aidée par les couleurs, ressort très bien.
