C'est vraiment très impressionnant Sébastien.
On se dit d'abord que la plus grand partie de l'image, l'arrière-plan, n'est pas ta création, mais en suite on se dit aussi que ce n'est pas "n'importe qui" qui a su en profiter et en faire une splendide composition... Bravo!

In reality, The Vendome Square is certainly the best place to look for any coloured diamond, even a green one!!!
The agreement of colours is simply extraordinaire and the guy looking is superb. I like it very much.

Elle est magnifique ta photo...
Plus je la regarde et plus je trouve que les affiches comme le personnage tout se fond dans une même image...
dissocier le vrai du faux... c'est comme si les visages avaient autant de texture que le type qui passe.. tout devient réel ou faux c'est au choix... mais c'est impressionnant...

Bonjour, Sébastien. L'arrière-plan vaut déjà le détour avec ces visages au regard sérieux et ce beau contraste entre le diamant et le gris de la face. Mais la personne qui passe devant les affiches ajoute encore un contraste supplémentaire et un autre regard. Tu as déclenché au bon moment!

Hola,
une très bonne composition, et tu as bien attendu le moment pour capté le moment. Le regard du tipe donne encore pus de force à la photo.
Autrement,...quel type de PP as tu fait, j'ai l'impressione que les couleurs des habilles du tipe sont etranges. As tu contrastà les lumieres, saturé plus ? Mais en tout cas donne un bon effet.

Bonjour Sébastien,

Les diamants ont donné récemment un très grand film qui s'appelle "blood diamonds"... Avec ce black qui passe, c'est plutôt à cela que que je pense. Il extrêmement bien placé dans ta photo mais son expression du visage n'est malheureusement pas absolument idéale... Tu es passé pas loin d'une image "collector"! Les couleurs saturées sont très bien.

Un jour je vais te pister et te suivre dans Paris...pour trouver ces lieux d'inspiration:-), je plaisante, ils sont un peu partout mais tu arrives ça à toujours avoir des personnages intéressants devant des affiches magnifiques! :-) On dirait que l'homme fait partie intégrante de l'image et puis ce bleu avec ce vert, beurk:o). Très beau traitement bien marqué de l'image, belle lumière, bref, mes compliments Sébastien!

Hi Seb,
I guess, your postprocessing activity on your photography started to make sense on the meaning of your photos, rather than playing crazily with colors and creating cartoonies from them. Emerals and blue shine gloriously inside the B&W, and no need to say that i like the framing a lot. Putting white lines in your frame is a clever idea. I still can't get how you get so sharp with your miserable 350D :))
Only joking, it is EF 50 mm...

Well captured!

You have waited for the right moment to take this picture. There are alot of things about this picture I like. First of all, your framing of the man between the two faces make a really good composition. Also the contrast between the colour of the man's bright clothes and the background. I also like the contrast in general between the rather dirty looking man and the rather nice looking woman behind!!!

This is another example of your well thought out pictures! (Or extremely good timing!) :-)

Such a striking contrast between the two elements of this scene! Not only the blast of color against the B&W wall, but the obvious play on the life of luxury portrayed in the ad versus the much rugged, blue collar appearing workerman. Fantastic sharpness with that 50mm f/1.4!

Je vois que tu n'hésites plus à prendre en photo les gens dans la rue, c'est courageux ! En ce qui me concerne, lorsque j'en prends en France et que je n'ai pas la liberté du voyage, je reste intimidé....
Celle-ci est bien trouvée notamment son rapport avec le titre....

Another artistic and bizarre combination, the advertisement seems as equally realistic as the man, who is ideally positioned between the faces, great timing, the ethnic mix represented here also reminds me so much of San Francisco.

I join to the critics which say you have take the picture in the right moment,with this man turning to you and placed between the two faces.The shot gives many strange feelings,may be the silver and gleaming paint of the wall makes it looks like it was semi B&W shot,and contrast with the turquoise blue patchs and the overalls blue from the worker.A man in colour in a B&W world.Congratulations for the shot.

looking into your two newest post I reclined back into my chair and did some thinking of how you manage to get this images. Do you go out and find the optimal background and a bench infront of that background and wait .... until some one that fits your wildest fantasies matches it and than CLICK? Is that the secret? A lot of respect ot see that you used a 50mm to get this image and not some 200mm monster.

Au-delà de la qualité de ton oeuvre largement explicitée par la soixantaine de critiques déjà exprimées, c'est le message social effroyablement dur qui m'a atteint.
Quel contraste entre la richesse débordante, superficielle et inatteignable et la présence ordinaire et indispensable de ce travailleur immigré des rues.
Le choc se lit aussi dans les visages, de l'inexpressivité de la statuaire antique sans yeux à l'expression vivante du labeur et du d'un dardant regard.
