Photographer’s Note

Depuis le passage de l'ouragan Dean le 17 août dernier sur la Martinique qui a provoqué d'importants dégâts, un travail considérable a permis au jardin de Balata de retrouver toute sa splendeur. Ceux qui connaissent bien ce lieu noteront quelques différences, notamment une vue plus dégagée vers la mer en direction de la baie de Fort-de-France, visible a l'arrière-plan.

Since the passage of the hurricane Dean in Martinique the 17th of august 2007 a lot of work has be done to give back his beauty to the Balata Gardens.

Thats an extremely wonderful and warm shot with such wonderful colours and lights. Your perspective and pov are great as well giving us such a wonderful view

Cette lumière c'est incroyable..Super bien composée..Notre regard profite de l'ouverture sur le côté droit. pour s'échapper jusqu'à la mer.

Salut Jean Michel, waouu mon dieu c'est magnifique !!! Je découvre ta gallerie seulement maintenant et je dois te dire que je suis époustouflé par le niveau de tes photos, par les retouches parfaitement adéquates et appropriées, c'est plus vrai que nature ici !! On s'y croirait, c'est vraiment bluffant, un magnifique travail de tone mapping, prononcé certes mais pas trop non plus, c'est du travail de haute volée et je te tire un grand coup de chapeau.

this absorbed me to open the photo and I'm enjoying now to look at,a lovely light and shadow you had and well captured and controlled it with reaching a great combination of green colors and also a fine details that you resulted.very well edited in HDR,excellent sharpness and well worked,also very good composition you drew,nicely done,

Wow... sacree paysage de reve avec ces hauts plamiers qui emergent du jardin le tout entoure de cette vegetation tres luixuriante. Une tres belle photo.

Bonjour Jean-Michel,
Quelle magnifique image !
La lumière est incroyable et tu as parfaitement joué avec les reliefs et les différents plans pour cette très belle composition.
Content de voir que ce lieu a été remis en état et est de nouveau disponible, surtout pour moi qui ne le connais que sous la pluie.
Je vais à la Guadeloupe le mois prochain et j'ai beaucoup hésité en me disant que la Martinique devait être encore mal en point. Qu'en est-t-il ?
Je retournerai dans ce pays magnifique où les gens sont si accueillants.
