Le Château de la Madeleine ( (of the name of her chapel: Sainte-Marie-Madeleine), located on the heights of Chevreuse is a splendid fortress built in the medium of XIe century. In the cellars of the castle, an exposure "Life of castle" recalls the history of this fortress.
The castle is composed of a rectangular keep shouldered by powerful buttresses built in XVe century, at the time of its rehandling. Round towers are distributed on the enclosure, like the tower of the Guards, on the left of the small castle of entry. At the interior, three rooms present beautiful vaults, with the radiant veins starting from a central pillar. Overhanging the enclosure, a covered way is arranged between two square towers and reveals a sight privileged on the commune of Chevreuse and the valley of the Yvette. Only this covered way and the House of the Park could be visited.

Bonjour Jean-Luc

Philippe

Hi Jean Luc
I like the light and the composition here. Also very nice contrasting colors

Hello Jean Luc,
nice pov to show us the beauty of the castle well standing against the blue sky and it nice contrast.
Light has been well managed allowing you to deliver a beautiful result to look at; quality is good throughout with well visible details, clarity and sharpness.
Thanks for sharing it.
Regards,

Igor

bonjour

Jean Luc,
I like your composition here including the tree on the left to balance the castle. The lighting and colors are fine with excellent sharpness and DOF. The bare trees provide a nice buildup for the shot. I think that a polarizing filter would have been great here reducing the glare on the castle and making the colors more vibrant.
TFS,
Asa

Bonjour, Jean-Luc,
a marvelous view of this ancient castle. The light is perfect and I love the two sided view. It is beautifully framed by the vines and trees and the color is superb. I am amazed by the great detail you managed. this is wonderful! Merci beaucoup and fond regards,
Shelly

Bonjour Jean-Luc,

Jean-Charles

Greetings Jean Luc.
A very nice late winter scene with the bare branches of the trees contrasting nicely with the walls of the castle. The colour and light are very pleasing, but I do agree with Asa's comment about how a polariser would add richness to the colours and more depth to the castle.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Jean Luc, A splendid looking castle &, what a beautiful setting, the light is very well balanced &, that sky is wonderfully clear & inviting, sharp, well composed &, I like the framing, kind regards Wilson.

Bonjour Jean-Luc,

Va falloir me rattraper.
