[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Louvre Glass Pyramid has become one of the most favoured photo subjects and a landmark in Paris despite the controversy the construction of it triggered in the 1980s. Many people felt that the futuristic pyramid was misplaced in the courtyard of the Louvre Museum with its classical architecture. Nowadays people seem to love the contrast between the pyramid and the classical architecture

Hello Ulf,
Impressive capture at the blue hour!Seem this hour architecture like this in your photo looks more attractive.Great contrast between classic and modern for another great night shot!

Greetings,
Thomas

Technically a great picture. It has beautiful contrast and sharpness. I saw a similar pyramid in the hollywood movie 'Da Vinci Code'. I hope it is the same. I think the pyramid has not caused any damage to the classical architecture. I welcome such mordernization to classical sites.

Hi Ulf,
Very interresting POV and probably best time to capture this light and colours. Bravo
René

Hello Ulf,

very good catch of the Louvre Pyramid.A perfect POV. I like a lot the superb quality of the picture, wonderful colors!
I`m surprised that there are no tourists nearby.
Cheers,
Rossy

Hej Ulf! What a coincedence, I just came from Lars' pic of the Louvre and the Pyramid. I really dig he great sense of space here and the very well chosen juxtaposition of the two buildings and the framing that goes wirh it.
And I love the way the intricate construction is lit from within, it's really an eyecatcher!
Very good work!
Have a fine weekend,
Bert

Hi Ulf!
Colours are really great here, you took the photo just on the right moment. I also like the light in the pyramide. Have you tried to cropp the pavement a little?

Hi Ulf,
I also tried some night photos in the courtyard of the Louvre, but the pyramid wasn't illuminated yet. I think I should have waited a little longer for it. Well, I guess my photo isn't even a real night photo, as I took it around 17.30 or so (it was rather dark already though). I might post it one day.
You caught the illuminated architecture very well, the modern as well as the classical (personally I find the two styles wonderfully united in and around the museum). The construction of the pyramid can be enjoyed very well now too. The dark blue sky is also wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
Regards,
Lars
