Photographer’s Note

Yesterday afternoon took place the last Parisian concert of the Legendary Tiger Man. Surprises and discoveries being the impassioned and enthralling characteristics of the Paris Quartier d'été festival, which had invited him, this performance did not derogate from this informal "rule": a Portuguese musician who sings the blues with Bo Diddley and Johnnny Cash as guardian figures, a one-man band combining singing, electric guitar, battery and kazoo, a plentiful public garden (and classified "historic site"!) I discovered for this occasion, nested in the heart of XIIIème arrondissement, disappointment of the bowlers who saw their ground taken away from them for a few hours, timidity of the spectators who - at the beginning, at least - preferred to remain sitted or lying down on the lawn stripes and the benches before joining the empty space of fine gravel in front of the "scene"... and this unknown young woman, tattooed from the nape of her neck to her ankles, who's been for a few minutes the only one to dance at the rhythm of Paulo Furtado's throaty voice and loud beats of his drum!
Didn't I write something about surprises and discoveries? *o)
