Photographer’s Note

It's at the end of September unrolled on an the ancian circuit of Gueux, one completely exceptional weekend for which likes l'automobile. Exceptionnaly, the Mercedes W196 "Streamliner" with which Fangio won here the Grand-Prix of France of Formula 1 in 1954. This sculpture on wheel was controlled here by Jean Alesi. The only key of modernity on this photograph is the helmet of the pilot. Withdraw it and you will not be able to say any more if we are in 1954 or in 2007.

I'm back on TE after a few months d'absence. I had left you with the day before a rally. Rally during which I lost two friends of my club. No more desire of large thing behind that, but the life continues: taken again in rally and photography. I've "upload" my equipment with second case, D200, and splendid 70-200mm with 2,8 i've got last week. Here in Champagne, for the beautiful photographs of vines in autumn, it's missed: there were two large frosts, the vines are all maroon :-((

Thank you with those which worried about my absence here with a particular thought for Toto.
