Photographer’s Note

Another photograph of the small village of Marinca on the western dimension of the Corsica course always in the storm, there is often wind when I takes my photographs because the wind hunting the heat haze and increases contrast (there is also the polarizing fitre which renders service well) and the sky becomes limpid.

Must be almost the same PoV as June 20th's posting, but including the headland in the shot gives a completely different compo. I don't know which I prefer, worth posting both.

I like your composition with the very impressive blues of the sea and the sky in the left upper part of this picture. The houses in the foreground are lovely, as well as the mountains that are just heading straight into the sea without flattening out near the shore. This picture has something strange that I see regularly with pictures taken with digital cameras. I think it is some kind of unnatural sharpness in the distance. Am I the only one seeing this or is it something that is noticed by others too?

I like this composition, wind over the sea, and calm from shoting plase. Even a blured horizon "speaks" some neverending story about this willage. It's breathless for me.

Un petit force 8 dirait un marin :) Très belle prise de vue avec une luminosité fabuleuse. Cette photo nous fait penser à toutes les rafales que ces vieilles maisons subissent depuis des dixaines d'années.

Beautiful perspective and composition, Dominique. I love the effect of the wind on the sea - in English we call these "white horses". A lovely place and a lovely image.

Salut Dominique, superbe paysage de bord de mer. Bien vu pour la note.
cadrage impec, 1ers plans, luminosité, netteté, bref tout y est pour composer un agréable pano, et une petite touche de couleurs un peu "technicolor" 60's

Teh sea looks quite stormy, Dominique, I like it very much. The invisible horizon and the old roof create a very nice image. I also like your excellent POV from behind the tree.

Une vue tout aussi belle dans un esprit différent qui place le village entre terre et mer. La végétation apporte de la variétée dans la couleur.Personellement je préfère cette vue

The colors and light at this time of year are just unbelievable, Dominique, and they really make the unique landscapes and villages of Corsica appear at their most beautiful. You made another perfect composition with the tree branches on the right opening up a grand view above the houses towards the open sea, and the hill range at the right. Splendid, I could look at this forever.

Great capture, Dominique. I like the rough and weatherbeaten atmosphere of this pic. The depth and colour palet is very good. Special details are the way the sea an the beautiful houses of Marica are rendered. J'aime bien vorte cliche, bravo!

Another great stormy sea shot. Great framing. Excellent colors and textures. The buildings are great. They show their wear and tear as if they have faced this stormy coast constantly for centuries, never ceasing. The water again is so choppy and so powerful. The solidity of the water as a heavy force is added with the solid blue coloring. And how the waves are visible all the way to the horizon is another testament to how large and powerful this wind is, even though not directly visible.

Beautiful view and you have captured it superbly. I like the rough sea, which creates nice waves with white tops. The composition with the cliff emerging from the right into the sea is nicely captured. The colours are well saturated.

J'aime bien ici l'angle que tu as choisi pour mettre en valeur ce petit village de Marinca.
Effectivement je te rejoint sur les contrastes et ici c'est parfait sur ce point de vue.

Ici aussi le temps se déchaîne mais c'est plutôt de violentes pluie que nous avons avec à chaque coup des intérevention des pompiers pour déboucher les égouts et vider certaines caves. Ceci dit, déchainée avec le soleil, la mer est très photogénique. Bien vu!

Une vue et perspective différente mais tout aussi belle, j'aime bien les arbres sur la droite qui coupe légèrement la montagne et ajoute une autre belle couleur à ce paysage, bravo.

encore une bien belle.
ces journée ventées sont de l'or pour le photographe.
j'aime beaucoup la lumière sur les murs, et ces toits qui se découpent sur la mer ou le bleu est orné de blanc.
je vais essayer de faire quelques belles photos sur ton ile cette quinzaine et te les soumettrai

tres belle prise de vue toute en mouvement, je sens le vent rentrer par dessus mes fenêtres...rire...les couleurs sont tres bien rendues....le bleu de l'océan avec les crétes blanches des vagues donnent de suite l'athmosphere désiré...bien fait ...merci pour ce partage domi..amities bi

Très jolie photo. Composition excellente. J'aime bien le blanc créé par les vagues dans l'eau. Cela permet de découper l'eau et le ciel.

Que dire devant pareil spectacle,c'est presque irréel tellement c'est beau.Décidément tu te surpasses Dominique et tu atteinds des sommets dans ton art et ce n'est pas un pot de fleurs que je te lance.Merci de ce don que tu nous fait partager.

Waw ! Maximum de points pour cette série de belles images d'un beau pays.
Quelle chance d'habiter là bas, je touche du bois(ma tête).
De plus les compositions sont parfaites.
Le filtre polarisant sature le bleu du ciel à condition qu'il soit positionné à 90° du soleil.
Il élimine aussi les reflets à condition aussi d'être à 35 ou 45° de la surface réfléchissante.

Another nice landscape photo of this beautiful place. In this one I like how the houses although a bit rough in appeareance trasmit a very protective feeling by being so close to each other in contrast with the wild nature around.

Très jolie vue Dominique, qui illustre bien que parfois la vie peut être rude dans le Cap Corse. La composition est en tout cas très réussie avec le village au premier plan et les falaises au fond. Mais comment parviens-tu à faire toujours d'aussi belles photo?

aah enfin! lool! j'ai attendu avec impatience une nouvelle photo de ce village aprés la première. les couleurs sont toujours aussi belles et j'aime aussi les contrastes. bonne idée d'avoir placer les branches a droite. bravo pour cet exellent travail.

Bien que l'autre vue du petit village de Marinca dans le vent soit superbe c'est quand même cell-ci que je prèfère.
La composition, avec ces collines en arrière plan et surtout les branches d'arbre sur la droite, est parfaitement réussie. On voudrait presque voir les branches remuées par le vent !
J'aime beacoup aussi les couleurs de la mer.
Bravo Dominique pour cette vue que je ne suis pas seul à admirer ;-))

La Corse c'est beau même sans polarisant, belle composition qui de part son contenu permet de déterminer immédiatement l'origine du cliché.

Photographie superbe, très belles couleurs. Il y avait du vent cette journée-là on dirait. La forme des maisons est typique à cet endroit. Très pittoresque.

Great composition! The diagonal line of old houses with crumbled tiles, the mountains and especially the many waves along with the angle you choose for shooting, make this picture beautiful & special. I just wish that the clouds were more interesting – but this is not exactly something you can control…

Great POV and you captured a magnificent sea, brave and stormy..
I like the composition with the wide left side so my eye goes directly to the sea.
Beautiful colors and nice light, maybe a bit overexposed over the roofs, IMO.
