2004 BA 102 Air Show - 01 Photo

Photographer’s Note

This shot start a series of photo reportage taken during the air show of June 27, 2004 to the BA 102 of Dijon.

This reportage will present (during 1 or 2 months) some takes of planes from all over the world, met during this event. For amateurs, I will also add some photo techniques very specific in air shows. And especially, I will be in touch with all critiques, advices, or technical tricks in this domain.

Of course, in order to vary this period, I will alternate this reportage with my usual photos on the nature, architecture and other.

CONTEXT:

The old "Mystère IV" exposed to the entry of the air base.

THE PLANE:

The "Mystère IV", constructed by Dassault Aviation, is the 1st French jet plane to pass Mach 1. It is a fighter-bomber that will be constructed in 411 copies of 1954 to 1958 (of which 110 for India and 59 for Israel). All will fight: wars of 1956 and 1967 for Israel, wars of 1965 and 1971 for India against Pakistan.

Well, given the subject matter I'm not surprised to see that Piotr already left a critique ;-) The colors of this plane are quite striking, and you found a good shooting angle and a way to have the plane's wings span pretty much the whole width of your frame. It looks so shiny that it stands out against the background in an almost 3D fashion. Well done, Philippe, and looking forward to seeing more of the series you're announcing in your note.

Belle réussite photographique Philippe. L'angle retenu est parfait pour mettre en valeur ce Mystère IV. Très belles couleurs. J'attends avec impatience la suite du reportage.

Superbe presentation riche en détails et bien mise en valeur de part son cadrage.
Beaucoup de similitude ce "Mystere IV " de Dassault avec le Mig 15 "Fagot"..
Dans tout les cas la texture de l'appareil est trés jolie en aluminium et aux banderoles au couleurs Francaises.
Bravo Philippe trés joli ensemble.
