Old castle at the end of springtime Photo

Photographer’s Note

After we had a rainy second part of spring, the vegetation was dense and exhuberant in our southern French region. I took this shot two weeks ago, near the Castle of Malavieille (in the background), which is the subject of some of my previous contributions, and where a lot of plants and flower where blooming in a colorful explosion. Grass was still green and full of vivacity, but, for a few days, I remarked that such green spring colors had started to let the place to light yellow and dry summer tints.
So this view is already quite a reminding of the last days of spring...

The wild flowers is presented in the best setting here with the background castle and the very blue sky. Very good Loic.

Un très bon rappel des jours de printemps. J'aurais préferé le tout net, mais c'est ton choix et l'image est aussi très bien ainsi. J'adore ce genre de vue, avec un angle très bas et un point de vue totalement inhabituel. Les couleurs sont vraiment charmantes et engageantes! Bien vu Loic!

Very good Loic, this low shooting angle to present the beautiful flowers in the foreground, and the castle appearing to rise up right amongst the blooming vegetation. Very nice how the sunlight accentuates the details of the flowers, and the blue sky makes a fine backdrop. Well captured.

Je n'avais pas repéré ces ruines à Octon près du lac du Salagou.
Cela ressemble à la tour Barberousse de Gruissan.
Peut être avez vous désiré cet effet avec un avant-plan net sur fond légèrement flou.
Pour avoir une image complètement nette il suffisait de fermer le diaphragme de quelques crans.
Je vous suggère une variante avec un éclairage au 2/3 latéral vous m'en direz des nouvelles.

L'angle est particulièrement bien choisi pour exprimer ce que tu dis. Mais est-ce la photo qui fait le commentaire ou le commentaire qui fait la photo ? Tout le problème de l'oeuf ou de la poule ?
La composition est impeccable et les couleurs parfaites.

Good choice to leave the flowers in focus and not the castle (underlinded by the fact that you chose nature, and not ruins as the category). I think the colours here are great and what a clear sky.

j'aime beaucoup realiser ce genre de cliché des fleurs en avant plan sur quelques chose d'important a voir,je pense que j'aurai aime voir un tantinet de nettete sur les ruines, celà n'est pas bien grave , car le rendu est fort plaisant...bi

Bonjour Loic,

j'apprécie beaucoup cette photo ! Les ruines sont toujours intéressantes mais difficiles à photographier, et cet angle de vue me plaît beaucoup.
La netteté du premier plan est également bien choisie.
En août mon ami et moi allons visité quelques uns des chateaux cathares, je me souviendrai donc de cet angle de vue!
