Paris, Tri-X, super-cool French arts scene, yes, I see why you hang on to the medium, really works well here, something intangable that's hard to buplicate in digital. Great stuff.

This is a great scene, Animesh. A fantastic decisive moment full of youth and spring, a bit in the vein of R Doisneau. Not only are the girls so animated but it's also that side glance of the guy half-seen that sets the tone. Perhaps a touch too strong sharpening?

most natural, cutest scene...yes, once we were like this...
my first thought was that i'd crop a bit on the right but finally i think this original version is quite all right and it works well as it is now - it has its natural look...

Great street scene. Carefree students chatting on the streets. That Tri-X looks fantastic. It would have been nice to have th bo y looking on but still a nice shot.

Well, I never was a college kid on a Paris street, but through the magic of notalgia, I can remember even more great times from my youth than I actually ever experienced; your shot does a great job of "bringing back" those times. It's remarkable that these girls don't even notice you taking such an up-close shot. I like the body language with the girl leaning in to suggest her close connection to her friends. Nice! Not sure about "the way _we_ once were". For me, it was a combination of earth tone kurta, dirty jeans, torn chappals, long black umbrella, longer shoulder bag made of jute (shantiniketani jhola), perpetually lit Charminar.
This is not your best shot but you have caught the mood you wanted to convey.

You caught the moment and the mood very well. Only the group walkin in at the left spoils it a bit for me, because of the partial overlap with the shape of the front left girl. Maybe a bit less depth of field would have helped.

Did you ask for permission after the shot?
